Vishwa Mohan Bhatt was born into a Jaipur family of classical sitar players and has since become one of India’s greatest musical ambassadors. Yet music did not originally figure high up on his list of priorities. After successfully beginning a career in the civil service of Rajasthan’s capital, Vishwa put the ragas, compositions and songs his father Manmohan Bhatt had taught him on the backburner.
